Software Inventory Audit
Performing a manual audit of software inventory is time consuming, costly, stagnate and does not insure accurate license counts. More importantly, if a user installs illegally licensed software, your company is responsible if your company if audited.
When Resource Monitor is installed on a workstation, a live software inventory will be performed and updated to the database. Subsequently, whenever the workstation executes a logon or log off, the software auditing feature will perform an inventory and report that data to the database so your company can be assured of an accurate inventory
The software audit feeature also creates an alert to the administrative client when new software is installed or if software is uninstalled so your company can take appropriate action.
